Since you are going to use them mainly on research and crafting, you can quickly stock them through vendor. And with research Method skill, you are barely using them much anyway. Recommends: Research Method skill lv4 and eat research food. Optional: Dip into piloting lv.3 and get class B ship so you have 2k-4k ship cargo. Once you get to the point where inventory management is a pain, find a place to build an outpost and make a storage room. Containers are rather cheap to make and can hold 150 mass each. At that point you can organize it all. I like having an outpost over the lodge for the ease of travel.
