I’ve never been into archery in this game. Only use it for blunted arrows and healing arrows myself other than that a bow is useless in pve. I’d you are on PC there are mods that fix the severe imbalance with archery. Unfortunately with vanilla there is no way to make it equal to melee.

The Exile Lands legendary armor is really good now being on par with if not better than aspect gear, only issue is that you can't Transmog them unfortunately. Stat wise I feel building for health armor is arguebly best, pretty much no creature in the game except the arena champ should be able to keep up with 800~ health.
