How to adjust carburetor stihl weedeater

Adjust the idle adjustment screw using a blade screwdriver. Turn the adjustment screw to the right, or clockwise, to increase the engine idle speed. Turn the screw 1/4 turn using the screwdriver and release the throttle trigger to see if the engine will idle on its own. Continue to make 1/4 turns until the engine idles.

You will then need to fine tune each screw. Turn the idle in and out until it idles the smoothest and then rev the engine up and set the high speed the same way. If it runs good for 30 minutes and then acts up then check the fuel lines, fuel filter, and the exhaust port and muffler. Check the fuel lines.Adjust the throttle cable only when the machine is completely and properly assembled. Use a suitable tool to push the slide to the end of the slot (see illustration).
