The serial number is "C9492" which doesn't work on OldGuns.net because of the letter. If you put in "9492" on OldGuns.net, you get a date of 1885, so that explains the hang tag. In the GB listing, they say "This rifle was manufactured between 1893-1936," which is doubtless true.It is a 1968 production gun.
