The 9.5 fits much better in my opinion as I prefer a more snug fit but the 10 is perfect for a more casual “slip on” fit. 997 made in US- 9.5 (half down) and I am glad I did size half down. Sounds like you prefer a stability shoe. Mizuno Wave Horizon is also quite good. The new 990v6 is good, just doesn’t feel quite like previous 990s due to their using fuel cell midsoles.

Hey Guys. I’ve always been a fan of New Balance shoes and finally got a pair of 574s in the classic gray/beige colorway. My problem is that, as much as I like the shoes, I feel like I can’t pull them off because they don’t match my outfits. I generally wear vans/converse so these are a much different style for me. The V6 is too plush to be comfortable and stable in the long run, also people say that they are not comfy out of the box. It all depends what you are looking for, if you are not very heavy and prioritize stability over cushioning, then 577, 998 or 911 will probably be the most comfortable for you. The only cushion in the 550 is the insole itself. Other than that it is a brick. as terms of leather low tops, i would say they are more comfortable than reeboks, air force 1s, and dunks. better quality too. since it is a retro style shoe, comfort isn’t gonna be as crazy as boost or any 990 versions of new balance. The ones I listed will leave you with almost no foot fatigue after an entire day of wear and will look super premium. Some people recommend the 993s for the same reasons but I’ve never tried them. 3.
