My old Rossi 92 had an OEM flat top rear sight and I switched it over to the new semi buckhorn that my 73 came with. I've seen a new 92 that came stock w/ that same semi buckhorn. My old 92 has a larger dovetail so my replacement semi buckhorn fits in the dovetail extremely loose. I just tightened down the set screw in the middle of sight.I just replaced mine with "LPA TPU Target Rear Sight Taurus PT92, 58, 100 Steel Blue" and love it. The front post fills the rear notch and is so much easier to see left-right than the (seemingly) huge whole of the originals. Plus I can raise the elevation when shooting 115 grain ammo. I used the 66A on mine in the pics and I was able to use the existing front sight on my 92 Golden 44mag shooting 260gr. and 300gr. WFNGC cast bullets with plenty of elevation left. Steve's Gunz has a bolt safety replacement peep sight that is quite easily installed. Extremely nice fellow and very willing to help. Instructions on his website. Mounted a Marbles tang peep on it - the Chiappa is identical to the original 1892, so any tang sight fitting one will fit the other. The Marbles has easy windage and elevation adjustments that stay put when set.The sight shown is a Marbles Standard Peep Tang SIght. Marbles lists the 009807 sight for the "new Rossi 92" but the 009808 sight for the Winchester Model 92/94 works fine.
