Jan 7, 2011 · Wheel Horse. Transmissions and transaxles. 310-8 Shifter getting loose. Hello, I have a 310-8 where the shifter is starting to get loose. In a short time its gone from being able to shift in to 3rd gear 1/2 way to the left to 3rd gear 3/4 way to the left. It seems like the engaging gear is getting further over toward the end.

Then fill the tank with gas and make sure fuel flows freely from the end of the hose that connects to the inlet side of your new fuel pump. If the gas flows free then all is well there. Then the belt will come off. To put the brake back on apply the pto. Place a business card between the brake pad and the pto bell. Hold it tight and tighten the bolts. If you can remove the oil level switch wiring from the circuit it would give the same result. Oil level low the relay is activated and the power to the starter is interrupted. There are special instructions to remove the oil level switch from the engine without damage.

That will fit a K241S, K301S, K321S, and K341S. However, you will be paying an arm and a leg for a genuine Kohler brand starter. Just search eBay or Amazon.
